The al fresco terrace offers magnificent views of the floodlit waterhole where you can watch the passing parade of oryx, springbok, jackal, ground squirrel and hyena, whilst enjoying exquisite food and wine. Indeed a visual and culinary contrast, bearing in mind the relative remoteness of this exceptional location.
The separate accommodation units are carefully laid out to perfectly blend in with the magnificent surrounding natural environment. Each fully air-conditioned accommodation unit has a patio, en-suite bathroom with shower and a spacious bedroom under canvas with adobe-style plaster walls.
Accommodation units at Sossusvlei Lodge
The individual luxurious accommodation units at Sossusvlei Lodge are uniquely designed to blend in with the natural surrounding environment.
Each of the 45 accommodation units has its own patio from where magnificent views can be enjoyed. The spacious and fully air-conditioned bedroom under canvas with adobe-style plaster walls, gives the visitor a distinctive sense of being close to nature. Each bedroom features twin beds, seating area and vanity with power points. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and wash basin. The entrance hall of each unit has space for suitcases, hanging space, shelves and an electronic safe.
Three family units are available with the same features as the individual units, but with inter-leading doors between the bathrooms connecting the two units.
Three of the standard accommodation units are designed to be handicapped and wheelchair friendly. Handles have been fitted in the bathroom and the shower has an open design with no steps or doors inside the unit for easier access.
One infant and/or child under 12 years can be accommodated free of charge in a room shared with two full paying adults. This is subject to availability and payment of applicable meal rates. Please enquire with you booking to ensure preparations are made as required.
