It has become one of the most popular dive sites in the Philippines because of its coral walls where the shallow coral reef abruptly ends giving way to great depths. The marine park is open to live-aboard diving excursions between the months of April to June when the waves are most calm.
Dive Season
Tubbataha’s dive season is just three months long, running from mid-March until mid- June. At this time of year diving conditions are usually optimum – clear skies, calm seas and visibility between 30 and 45 meters.
Getting There
From Manila, divers take one of the regular flights to Puerto Princesa. Dive operators usually transport their guests from the airport to the pier, just minutes away, where their boat awaits.
It takes around 10 hours to get to the Park from Puerto Princesa. Most dive boats leave after dinner and arrive in Tubbataha early the next morning. Some slower vessels leave the wharf earlier in order to arrive at Tubbataha by first light.

Guests must take a boat transfer to reach this property. It is recommended that guests take the morning flight in order to make scheduled boat transfers from Honda Bay wharf. From the airport, guests can take a 30 minute shuttle bus to the wharf where one-hour boat transfers to the resort depart at 8:30 AM; 11 AM; 1:30 PM; and 4 PM.
