Water Sports in the Maldives with Aquafanatics Water Sports Centre

Children’s Club
The Dhoni Club is home to two fun-packed dhoni boats, a climbing wall and a tree house. It’s a great escape from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm for kids from 3 years to 12 years while mum and dad are doing “grown up things”. Here you will meet Little Hermie and his friends Mishell, Cookie Crab, Captain Red Claw and many more as we explore everything there is to do on our island. With seven different themes no two days are the same and there’s always something exciting to do. Make new friends, explore new places and get crafty with our qualified child supervisors.

Children’s Amenities
From the moment children arrive, an imaginative children’s kit upon check-in features a Little Hermie beach bag, sun hat, colouring book and a pencil kit. In the room, children’s bathroom amenities, flip flops and slippers are also catered for.
Babysitting
For children 3 years and upwards our babysitting service allows parents to enjoy precious time alone in between our many family friendly experiences. At Anantara Resort & Spa our professional babysitters are trained in First Aid and CPR, with wonderful experience in safely entertaining and taking care of little ones. Babysitting requirements should be booked 24 hours in advance. Our rates are USD 15 per child per hour for babysitting until 10:00 pm, USD 20 per child per hour from 10:00 pm - 12 midnight and USD 25 per child per hour from midnight onwards.
Gulhifushi
Kayak or take a boat to our private picnic island Gulhifushi and enjoy a breathtaking view from its own natural ocean pool. With all the required facilities such as toilets, a bar, dining facilities, the family can spend the whole day in the clear waters swimming, snorkeling, kite-flying, beach games and round it off with a barbecue on the beach. Our swings in the ocean make it an even more unique and unforgettable experience for the whole family.
Coral Planting
The world is full of amazing things and when it comes to the ocean, it’s sometimes hard to know where to start. Try your hand at gardening Maldivian style. As a family you can learn from our marine biologist at Aquafanatics water sports and dive centre how new coral gardens are created by attaching coral to iron frames. Environmentally friendly and designed to promote the flow of water and nutrients, the frames are covered in sand to encourage coral to grow faster than it would naturally.
The Anantara Coral Adoption Programme is a long-term plan designed to share learning experiences, accelerate the regeneration of coral growth in the atoll reef, and ultimately ensure the future of this unique Maldivian destination.
