As the name suggests, the four star hotel is part of the Stenden Hotel Management School, and is an exciting educational concept where students are able to learn their craft in a real-world environment.
The friendliness and enthusiasm they bring to their work is enough to make staying here a pleasure all on its own, but there’s also the trendy rooms decorated in primary colours, the delicious ‘new Dutch cuisine’ served in the restaurant, and the careful little touches, like deluxe showers and a pillow menu.
It also has outstanding conference facilities for up to 265 people, including an auditorium and five flexible meeting rooms. It’s the perfect place to work and play, to see education in action, and to experience this fascinating little city.

Meeting Rooms
Stenden university hotel offers facilities for meetings and conferences, company training, seminars and meetings. Several meeting rooms can accommodate any where from 10 to 400 people. Audiovisual equipment and support from our technical department maybe requested
Activities
Restaurant
This restaurant offers a variety of dishes, all of which are prepared with care by the students. The dishes are based on the ‘New Dutch cuisine’, with added influences from all over the world. The restaurant is from 1st of January 2010 also on Saturday opened for lunch and diner, the restaurant is closed on Sundays. The menu changes weekly
Bar
The hotel has an in house bar which is open from 8:00 am to midnight. A drink to round off a day of meetings, an aperitif with friends and family, or a business meeting place, our bar is suitable for all different purposes. Our lobby, with couches and reading table, provides an attractive setting for a social gathering.
Surroundings
Stenden University Hotel lies in a quiet area on the north side of Leeuwarden. The hotel is within walking distance from two public gardens, the ‘Rengerspark’ and the ‘Noorderplantage’. A city bus stops outside of the hotel, which offers guests a good connection to the city centre. With no less than 575 designated monuments, Leeuwarden is a city that is visibly rich in history. Especially the diversity of monuments is impressive: one can admire, among other things, churches, mills and warehouses. Leeuwarden also has many lively cafés, restaurants, and nightlife venues.
